What is Kindness in Motion?

Good intentions, put into motion.

A growing community and lifestyle movement built on a simple belief: small acts can create extraordinary impact.

Born from an extraordinary automotive adventure and the realization that even small interactions can inspire others, Kindness in Motion encourages people to turn good intentions into meaningful actions.

From spontaneous acts of generosity and unexpected moments of connection to road trips, community gatherings and shared experiences, the movement celebrates the extraordinary impact of ordinary people.

It’s not about what you drive, what you own, or how much you have. It’s about what you do with what you’ve got, how you treat the people you encounter, and the difference you leave behind.

Because kindness doesn’t have to be complicated. It just has to keep moving. This is more than a brand. It’s an invitation to be part of something bigger.

Our story

How Kindness in Motion began.

01 — 2026 · Gumball 3000

It began on the road.

Kindness in Motion didn’t begin with a business plan, a product, or even the idea of starting a movement.

In 2026, founder Chelsea Walsh set out as a co-driver on the world-famous Gumball 3000 rally, travelling from Miami to Mexico City alongside some of the world’s most remarkable cars and personalities. She expected an unforgettable automotive experience. What she didn’t expect was how profoundly the people she met along the way would change her perspective.

Throughout the rally, Chelsea connected with people from all walks of life. But it was the interactions with young girls and women that left the greatest impression.

Little girls would light up when they saw a woman stepping out of a supercar.

Women would approach her, ask questions, share their excitement, and tell her how inspiring it was to see someone like them taking part in an experience so often associated with men.

For Chelsea, those moments were unexpected. She was simply doing something she loved. She wasn’t setting out to be a role model or make a statement. Yet, without realizing it, she was showing other women and girls what was possible. And that realization stayed with her.

It wasn’t about the car. It wasn’t about the rally. It wasn’t about the attention. It was about what happened when someone saw a possibility for themselves they hadn’t considered before.

What if I could take the inspiration I saw on that rally and turn it into something bigger? The question that started it all

02 — From inspiration to action

Not just at rallies. With anyone, anywhere.

Chelsea’s professional life has long centred on helping people navigate change, understand human behaviour and create meaningful transformation. As a change and transformation leader and keynote speaker, she understood the power of human connection, and the importance of turning ideas into action.

Gumball 3000 brought those principles to life in a deeply personal way. She had seen how a brief interaction, a conversation, a photograph or a few words of encouragement could mean far more to another person than she ever imagined. And she wanted to do more of it.

Not just at rallies. Not just with women. Not just in the automotive community.

With anyone, anywhere, who might need a little encouragement, connection or kindness. Kindness in Motion became her way of turning that experience into something other people could be part of: a movement where nobody needs a platform, a supercar or a particular background to make a difference. They just need to care enough to act.

03 — A coin with a personal connection

A tradition, given new purpose.

As the idea took shape, Chelsea wanted to create something tangible, something people could carry, give away and use to recognize meaningful moments.

The inspiration came from a very personal place: her father. Chelsea grew up in a military family, and with her dad’s service came an appreciation for the traditions, symbolism and sense of belonging of military life. One of those traditions is the challenge coin. Historically a symbol of recognition, service, camaraderie and shared identity, a challenge coin can carry meaning far greater than its size.

What if a coin could recognize something as simple, and as powerful, as kindness?

What if it could be given to someone who made a difference, who showed compassion when it mattered, or who needed to be reminded they were seen? And what if that person could one day pass it along, carrying the story forward? From that idea, the Kindness in Motion Challenge Coin was born. Not simply something to collect. Something to mean something.

04 — More than a coin. More than a car.

More than one person.

Kindness in Motion may have found its spark on a rally across North America, but its purpose reaches far beyond the road.

It’s about the little girl who sees someone doing something she never thought possible. The stranger whose day changes because someone took a moment to care. The person who receives a simple gesture of encouragement at exactly the right time. The communities that grow stronger when people look out for one another.

Chelsea started Kindness in Motion because she saw first-hand that inspiration doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes, all it takes is showing up, being yourself and making someone feel seen.

Because you never know who’s watching. You never know who you’re inspiring. And you never know how far one small act of kindness might travel.

One experience sparked an idea. One idea became a purpose. That purpose became Kindness in Motion.

01 / Our missionKindness in Motion

To inspire and empower people to turn everyday kindness into meaningful action, creating connections, experiences and positive momentum that extend far beyond a single moment.

Our mission is to make kindness visible, actionable and contagious. Positive change doesn’t always require large gestures, financial contributions or extraordinary circumstances. Sometimes, the smallest actions have the greatest impact.

Mission

02 / Our visionKeep it moving

A world where kindness is more than an intention. It’s a movement that brings people together, breaks down barriers and inspires others to keep it moving.

We envision a connected global community where generosity is celebrated, individuals feel empowered to make a difference, and everyday kindness creates a ripple effect far beyond the original act.

Vision

03 / Our purposeOne moment

To prove that meaningful change doesn’t always begin with grand gestures. Sometimes it starts with one person, one moment and one simple act of kindness.

Kindness in Motion exists to help people recognize their ability to make a difference in the lives of others, turning inspiration into action and individual moments into collective momentum.

Purpose

Our core values

Six things we put in motion.

  1. 01

    Kindness

We lead with compassion, generosity and genuine care for others. Kindness should be intentional, accessible and shown through action.

  2. 02

    Connection

Meaningful human connection is one of the most powerful forces for positive change. We bring people together across backgrounds, experiences, generations and communities.

  3. 03

    Action

Good intentions are important, but meaningful change happens when we act. We encourage people to turn inspiration into tangible gestures that make a difference.

  4. 04

    Authenticity

We show up genuinely, embrace individuality and stay true to our values. Kindness should never be performative or motivated by recognition alone.

  5. 05

    Adventure

We embrace curiosity, exploration and new experiences. Adventure isn’t defined by how far we travel or what we drive, but by our willingness to meet the world with an open mind.

  6. 06

    Momentum

One meaningful action can inspire another. We want kindness moving from person to person, community to community, experience to experience.

Our philosophy

Kindness isn’t passive. Put it in motion.

Kindness is something we do, something we share, and something that grows when we put it into motion.

Be the reason kindness keeps moving.

Kindness in Motion is a movement built on the belief that small acts can create extraordinary impact. Changing the world doesn’t always require doing something big. Sometimes it starts with doing something kind.
